The association has collected together a considerable number of old photographs and other memorabilia. In particular, all of the photographs that used to hang on the staircase and in the hall of the school have been donated to the association and have been scanned onto CD. We also have an album of photographs that was the personal property of former headmaster Mr. Rising. This was kindly donated to the association shortly after his death by his widow Tean Rising. The contents of this album have also been scanned onto CD. In an attempt to reach a wider audience our complete collection of images has been uploaded to the "Picture Penzance" website. The images are contained in over forty albums, including one for each year 1945 to 1980 inclusive, other albums include “Staff”, “Buildings” and “Reunions". On the home page at Picture Penzance select 'Gallery' from the menu bar at the top, scroll down to 'Schools' and select 'Penzance County School for Boys and Humphry Davy Grammar School'. You do not need to register with the site in order to view the images in our gallery, however, registered members (it’s free) are able to leave comments about images and this might be how information you have about any of the photographs, such as missing names, could be provided. Alternatively, use the 'contact us' link below. We are keen to add to the collection and welcome donations of original photographs, or scans of photographs. If you have photographs that you would like to add to the gallery, or you would prefer to add names to faces in existing photographs via this website, rather than via Picture Penzance, then please use this link to contact us. Right click on the Picture Penzance link and open in a new window. You must close the new window to return to this page. Please book-mark the site and add it to your 'favourites'.
